Here are a few shots of the Blackberry canes on April 16, 2001.  Blackberry harvest is still a month away.  Hopefully we will begin picking a few Blackberries in late May.  I would like to see a little heavier bloom but there is still a lot of buds waiting to pop open.

Here is a fruit that is on its way.

The Blackberry blossoms are very pretty, especially when you look at them up close.   The canes will bloom over about a five week period - hence a five week harvest.

You can see that the bloom is about 4 inches across (just kidding) - just imagine how big the berry will be!
